ZeroSpace AI Dev Q&A - Ask Marvin Gouw

So I got to sit down with Marvin Gouw this week. He’s the founder and CEO of Starlance Studios, the team behind ZeroSpace, which if you haven’t been following is basically the most serious SC2 spiritual successor in development right now. CatZ is their versus designer, Scarlett is doing balance, PiG is consulting.

Marv is also the guy building their AI. Pretty much by himself. He has over 20 years in the industry, went from console to mobile and back to PC, and at one point worked on tooling for Havoc’s AI behavior system.

We got into how the system actually works, how they’re thinking about difficulty scaling without just handing the AI more money or vision, what he’s tried that hasn’t worked yet, and where he wants to take it.
